Pit Bulls and Monkeys

Today Martha, Collin and Andrew came over while Beth took Ashton to the dentist. One of the kids let our dog Dodger out. He is not a very obedient dog when it comes to coming back in so I let him roam. I wasn't too worried about him since we were all in the front and I could see him. All of the sudden I see him running into our garage with 2 HUGE pit bulls following him. I follow him and the 2 dogs into our garage and then try to get one of the pit bulls to let go of Dodgers leg. What seemed like mins later but was only a few seconds later was their owner (who was all of 95 pounds). They thank goodness they listened to her and I threw Dodger in the house. Evidently, she is visiting her family who live across the street and the dogs needed to use the restroom. She took them out on their leashes, they saw my dog and snapped the leashes. After this fun ordeal I realized that I was holding Tanner the whole time! I was so in a zone to get those dogs out of there. I cannot believe that I had Tanner with me! I then again didn't want to set him down in fear that they would trample him as well. It was Awful.

I hear Martha yelling for me for about 5 mins and I keep yelling back where I was. I thought that she was just looking for me. She keeps yelling so I go and find her. I found her like this in the back yard! There is a monkey back pack whose tail is tied to the top of the swing set. She had gotten her arms in the backpack and couldn't get them out. Being the good aunt that I am told her to hold on while I got my camera so that I could take a picture of her!

P at the Dentist

Preston has a mess of a mouth. He went to the dentist a month ago and found out that he has 8 cavities. Poor guy! He brushes his teeth every night...the dentist just said that some kids are more prone to them than others. So today we were able to get the first 2 fixed. He said that he had to do a mini root canal on one of them it was so bad. P was so brave!
In the last pic half of his face is still numb. Thank goodness it went away!

15 Months and Walking!!!

Today Tanner turned 15 months and decided that it was a good day to start walking. He has been taking up to 7 steps, but today I think that he has exceeded that! For the last week he has practiced and practiced but was too scared to take the plunge. I know that he could of done it weeks ago as he stands and bounces on my bed! We love our sweet tanner man so much!

Kauai Day 4 Part Two!

Papa, Ry and the kids played in the sand while Vendla and I layed out in the sun. It was my first and only day that I was able to. I put a skim of sunscreen on and I got burnt to a crisp. Oh well.. the brown skin after the burn wore off was worth it!!!
After posting these pics I had to laugh at H and P's happy faces....They look like they're having lots of fun!!

Kauai Day 4

Today we went on a boat ride to see dolphins and whales. Tanner was yet again too young to go, so he stayed back with mana and papa. The kids got Dramamine before we left and we could definitely see the effects! They were so so tired. Hailey would lay down on the bench and close her eyes but when we saw a whale I whipped her up so that she could see them!

We were able to sit on a a net at the front of the boat and come so close to the dolphins. We were just a few feet away from them. They love boats and swim right in front, along with them. We were able to see lots of mommy dolphins and their babies. The babies would swim right underneath their moms. It was a really neat experience!

Finally Finished

I finally finished this after being up on my wall for 1 1/2 months. I thought it was about time!
The last pic is just a funny one of Hailey I just took.

Kauai Day 3

Today Hailey, Ryan and I took a helicoptor ride. We gave P the option to come but he didnt want to. Hailey is my brave child and is always up for anything. We were able to see parts of the island that were only accessible by helicoptor or boat. Long ago the islanders would hike the peaks of the mountains. It was crazy. I dont know how anyone would have survived it. Also...They would burry their royalty in caves in the crevases of the mountains. They would then cover the caves with rocks and plants so that no one would know where the were buried. The one that would bury them would commit suicide so that the secret of where they were would be kept. The pilot would take us into the crevases and get so close to the walls. It was amazing and so beautiful!

Tooth Fairy!!!

We noticed that P had a loose tooth when he went to the dentist at the begining of the month. It has been getting looser and we have been trying and trying to convince him to let us pull it out. We tried everything from telling him that he would choke on it, to the tooth fairy not coming if there is no tooth to put under the pillow. (I know mean) Nothing would convince him. Today I noticed that it was holding on for dear life. We were at our friends house and the mom was telling P that her son had swallowed his first tooth. About 5 mins later P came downstairs and there was no tooth! Tonight we wrote a letter to the tooth fairy explaining what had happend. I am sure that she will come even without a tooth under the pillow!

Kauai Day 2

Today we took a drive up to the mini grande canyon of Hawaii. If you looked really close you could see goats. They are destroying the vegitation and the locals do not think much of them. The view was gorgeous. I think that I will be saying that a lot in the next few posts because we saw alot of amazing views!

Kauai day 1

As many already know, we took a trip to Kauai with ry's parents. We spent 6 wonderful, very fast days there. The first day we relaxed and played on the beach. Tanner hated the feel of sand, so we had him sit on a towel! If I was holding him while putting my feet in the water he cried every time the waves came up. I think the sound scared him!

I think that Kerry touched Tanners toe in the water.
He was crushed!

When we arrived at our hotel the gave us lei's. Hailey saw
one at the airport and was crushed that she couldnt have it.
She was so happy to get one!

The Knicks

For ryans birthday I got him Knicks tickets. They have been his favorite NBA team since he was a little guy. (I think they were good back then) On Friday we drove to Portland, dropped T man off at my Aunt Kris's and went to the game. It was such a good game! The Knicks let most of the way and then of course after OT the lost. We were the only ones cheering for the Knicks (or should I say...I was the only one cheering. Ry didnt want to get beat up. I knew that I look too tough to beat up so I didnt worry) until 2 girls and a little boy sat in front of us. One of the girls was Zach Randolph's (former blazer turned knick) girlfriend sat in front of us. Fun night!
I was amazed by Nate Robinson. He plays for the Knicks and is about ry's heigth. During warm ups and the game he was dunking the ball. Also a very fast little bugger. Evedently he won a ball dunking contest. I dont know how he can jump so high! He seemed so tiny compared to all of the other players.

Shake your Booty
