Rundown of October

I am trying to eliminate some things in my life right now so I can be a better house keeper, blogger, become less stressed so I don't get sick all of the time and most importantly a better wife and mom. In the meantime here is a rundown of our October! (hold on for a picture overload!)

Our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. I think that we had about 12 pumpkins in all by the time October was finished!

The bear that T is holding is his most favorite thing. Hailey got it from a yard sale and it is the yuckiest thing! It's even missing an ear. I don't know what we would do if we lost it. He calls it his baby and can't go to bed without it.
I love those kiddos so much.

I think that it was a mere 57 degrees out and Hailey insisted that it was warm enough to swim. I told her that I wasn't helping her and of course that didn't stop her! She only stayed out for 10 mins...
















Gma and Gpa Karlson invited our family and our good friends over for a Halloween party. To say they went all out is an understatement! We had dinner, played bingo, painted pumpkins, and decorated cookies. EVERYONE had to dress up. We all had a blast!
I cannot forget Ryan's birthday. I am so grateful for the wonderful husband and father he is!

Halloween

a few of my favorite things

Hailey's most favorite thing for the last few months is Strawberry Milk. I remember loving it when I was little...

Another favorite is MAKEUP! Her birthday is in a few weeks and all she talks about is getting makeup. Yesterday we broke down and bought some with her own money. She was in heaven. She is even accessorized with pink and purple clips!

T R O U B L E

There is nothing like expensive eyeliner rubbed into my carpet.... (he looks so proud of himself)



That night I moved the butter from the table and my little helper Hailey moved
it back. A cup of butter on bread and then stuffed into a glass!

Bad man?

Today we were picking up a friend and her son to go to McD's. Her husbands friend was in the garage and said something was stupid. Pres over heard him:
P:Mom, why did he just say stupid?
Me: Some people can say that, but our family cannot.
P:Is he a bad man?
(Oh yes P...he is a very bad man!!!)

Last night Ry went past the bathroom last night and it smelled so bad. The floor was rotting and it was the first time it smelled really bad. He decided that before he left town for work, he needed to tear it up. After he took off the toilet, he found that the builders had not put the toilet on the seal properly.
Every time it was flushed, water leaked onto the floor. Sick.

If my kids are with me when I go there, then we must stop and take a look at the pet store since its next door. I just happen to have my camera with me so I sneaked a few photos of these beauties! They are hairless cats that they say they flew in from Russia. If you look at them long enough, they are kinda cute!

Oatmeal does a body good....

Preston came up to me this morning with a big no bake cookie and asked me if it was ok to eat it. I figured that it had oatmeal in it, so it should be a good breakfast....right?!
I cannot, cannot for the life of me make good no bake cookies. They always fall apart. It figures that they are one of Ry's favorite cookies. Last night Ryan gave up on me and made them himself. They were DELICIOUS!
