I was taking Preston to the bathroom at church today and the following conversation took place:
Pres: Mom look!
Me: What Pres?
Pres: Look in there! (the gym)
I look and see Brother Herndon and Brother Davies
Me: Who do you see?
Pres: President Hinckley!
I told Brother Herndon and he laughed so hard he couldn't stop coughing!

Good news!

We just got back from taking Tanner to the nuro surgeon. He got a c-scan and they only see the skull fracture. The fluid that has formed on his head is just a nasty bruise. Thank goodness. Good trip except for the fact that as soon as we drove into Hermiston we got a flat tire!

A week to forget

Our family has had a week that I would like to forget. Actually the fun is not over and is just beggining. Haily was jumping on the bed and fell off nose first on Friday. We thought she had broken her wrist at first and then she went limp. So scary. I went to call 911 and she started screaming. Derek advised that we take her to the ER and on the way there she was singing songs and back to normal. She was boucing off the wall as we sat in the ER for 3 hours. They checked her out and sent her home.
Yesterday at church my friend was holding Tanner and asked me what was wrong with his head. He had a spot the size of a tennis ball that was squishy. A week ago he fell off the counter but it should of shown signs sooner than yesterday. This morning the spot was larger and puffed up. I took him to Derek where they took a x-ray and ulrasound. Turns out that my baby has a 8 cm skull fracture and they think that the squishy spot is the fluid that surrounds the brain that has leaked out. I feel Aweful. What a bad mommy. I have always let my kiddos sit beside me on the counter. Derek called a neuro surgeon in Portland and they want to see him tomorrow.
I will keep this updated and let you all know how Tanner is doing.
Don't let your kiddos jump on beds or sit on counters.

I haven't posted for quite a while...The reason is Jill! I have never really enjoyed reading until the last month. She has suggested a few amazing books and now I am starting my sixth one. I read every free chance that I get. I have had way too many late nights.Ry appreciates it the most I think! He says that I am addicted. I don't know if that's a good thing or not! So if you want to know of some good books let me know!

Preston started preschool last Wednesday! I cannot believe he is old enough for school! As we drove up to his school I got butterflies! He loves it so much. Collin, Martha and the bishops son Matthew are in his class. He goes from 9-11:30. Hailey, Tanner and I miss him tons while he is gone.
On the way to school he asked me if it was ok if he picked his noes at school. I told him that it probably wasn't a good idea!

I was at our neighbors house and standing behind Tanner. I thought he was playing nicely with the markers, not know that he was eating one!

Last week Ry and I cut Tanners hair for the fourth time. We just cut the sides. He lived with it for a few days and I decided it looked funny because he had a little mop on the top of his head. Sunday morning I took the plunge and gave him a real hair cut. I hardly recognize him!
