Our family has had a week that I would like to forget. Actually the fun is not over and is just beggining. Haily was jumping on the bed and fell off nose first on Friday. We thought she had broken her wrist at first and then she went limp. So scary. I went to call 911 and she started screaming. Derek advised that we take her to the ER and on the way there she was singing songs and back to normal. She was boucing off the wall as we sat in the ER for 3 hours. They checked her out and sent her home.
Yesterday at church my friend was holding Tanner and asked me what was wrong with his head. He had a spot the size of a tennis ball that was squishy. A week ago he fell off the counter but it should of shown signs sooner than yesterday. This morning the spot was larger and puffed up. I took him to Derek where they took a x-ray and ulrasound. Turns out that my baby has a 8 cm skull fracture and they think that the squishy spot is the fluid that surrounds the brain that has leaked out. I feel Aweful. What a bad mommy. I have always let my kiddos sit beside me on the counter. Derek called a neuro surgeon in Portland and they want to see him tomorrow.
I will keep this updated and let you all know how Tanner is doing.
Don't let your kiddos jump on beds or sit on counters.
