Kauai Day 3

Today Hailey, Ryan and I took a helicoptor ride. We gave P the option to come but he didnt want to. Hailey is my brave child and is always up for anything. We were able to see parts of the island that were only accessible by helicoptor or boat. Long ago the islanders would hike the peaks of the mountains. It was crazy. I dont know how anyone would have survived it. Also...They would burry their royalty in caves in the crevases of the mountains. They would then cover the caves with rocks and plants so that no one would know where the were buried. The one that would bury them would commit suicide so that the secret of where they were would be kept. The pilot would take us into the crevases and get so close to the walls. It was amazing and so beautiful!

Tooth Fairy!!!

We noticed that P had a loose tooth when he went to the dentist at the begining of the month. It has been getting looser and we have been trying and trying to convince him to let us pull it out. We tried everything from telling him that he would choke on it, to the tooth fairy not coming if there is no tooth to put under the pillow. (I know mean) Nothing would convince him. Today I noticed that it was holding on for dear life. We were at our friends house and the mom was telling P that her son had swallowed his first tooth. About 5 mins later P came downstairs and there was no tooth! Tonight we wrote a letter to the tooth fairy explaining what had happend. I am sure that she will come even without a tooth under the pillow!

Kauai Day 2

Today we took a drive up to the mini grande canyon of Hawaii. If you looked really close you could see goats. They are destroying the vegitation and the locals do not think much of them. The view was gorgeous. I think that I will be saying that a lot in the next few posts because we saw alot of amazing views!

Kauai day 1

As many already know, we took a trip to Kauai with ry's parents. We spent 6 wonderful, very fast days there. The first day we relaxed and played on the beach. Tanner hated the feel of sand, so we had him sit on a towel! If I was holding him while putting my feet in the water he cried every time the waves came up. I think the sound scared him!

I think that Kerry touched Tanners toe in the water.
He was crushed!

When we arrived at our hotel the gave us lei's. Hailey saw
one at the airport and was crushed that she couldnt have it.
She was so happy to get one!

The Knicks

For ryans birthday I got him Knicks tickets. They have been his favorite NBA team since he was a little guy. (I think they were good back then) On Friday we drove to Portland, dropped T man off at my Aunt Kris's and went to the game. It was such a good game! The Knicks let most of the way and then of course after OT the lost. We were the only ones cheering for the Knicks (or should I say...I was the only one cheering. Ry didnt want to get beat up. I knew that I look too tough to beat up so I didnt worry) until 2 girls and a little boy sat in front of us. One of the girls was Zach Randolph's (former blazer turned knick) girlfriend sat in front of us. Fun night!
I was amazed by Nate Robinson. He plays for the Knicks and is about ry's heigth. During warm ups and the game he was dunking the ball. Also a very fast little bugger. Evedently he won a ball dunking contest. I dont know how he can jump so high! He seemed so tiny compared to all of the other players.
