Trip to Utah

Our niece Kadence was being blessed so last Thursday we made the fun 12 hour trip to Utah. The trip wasn't that bad...but I guess it shouldn't have been for ry and I because my good in laws had Pres and Hailey drive with them the whole way. Lucky us! We had so much fun and it went by way too fast. I am going to put a picture over load on this post, so hold on!

As soon as we got there we stopped at a neat Dino museum and watched a boring 3-D movie. We even got to wear cool glasses!

On Saturday while the girls checked out the family photos that we had taken, the guys took the kids to the zoo. They met Ry's Aunt Christine and a few of her Grand children there. I love the last pic where Tanner Man is zonked! Today he had his first real nap since the trip and slept 3 hours. I had to wake him up and am sure that he would have slept more!

Sunday Aaron was able to bless little Kadence. It was one of the most beautiful blessings I have heard. She is a sweet little baby and also a little butter ball. She reminds me alot of Hailey when she was a baby.
We went to Kates moms house after the blessing and had a nice brunch.

That afternoon, Wes and Jes made a delicious steak and chicken kabob BBQ. We took it up to Bridal Veil falls. It was about 70 degrees and was perfect. The kids had a blast in the water and would have stayed there all day if they could. The trip went by so fast. It was good to be able to make new relationships with in laws and get to know them better. I wish they lived closer and someday I know they will.

P Graduates!

Preston graduated on Wednesday and is ready for Kindergarten!! I cannot believe that I have a child old enough. He says that he isn't going because I made the big mistake of telling him that before he goes he has to get a shot. What was I thinking?!!

The rest of his class graduated on Friday, but P had to miss it so that we could leave for Utah on Thurs. During the whole ceremony, he was picking on his band aid. So very typical of Preston....always distracted! One of the songs they sang was You Are My Sunshine. All day you can hear him singing it to his own little tune. I would tape it but the sound on my camera wont work...if anyone knows what the deal is, let me know!!!

Happy Mother's Day

And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. -Deuteronomy 6:7

What a great responsibility we as mothers have been given. To be entrusted with our Heavenly Fathers children. I am so grateful to be a mother.

Baldy

Victim Before

Victim After

I should of put the clippers in a higher, safer place. I had just looked at them (they are a little battery operated pair used for trimming) and put them in the drawer. P got out of the bathtub and told me to look at what he had done to Tanners hair. I told him very calmly that he had better get in his room before I got too mad. He ran into his room and cried telling me that he was so sorry. I went in a few mins after I had calmed down and asked him what made him do that?!!!! That I was so sad and that he didn't get to play with his Webkins for 2 days (the Worst punishment) and that he couldn't play with his friends for a day. I think that the worst thing in this whole ordeal is that we had to shave tanners head. P was so mad that we had to. He said "Please don't shave his head, kids will laugh at him.".

Updates & a few things I love about....

I don't know where the last few weeks have gone! I have been hooked on a few decorating blogs and that has taken up most of my computer time. I really need to be more productive! We have been busy with track and preschool event with Preston. I signed him up for Kindergarten a few weeks ago. I cannot believe that he is old enough. I wish they wouldn't grow up. It makes me very nervous to let them go. Not just nervous....I don't want to let them go.
Preston LOVES track. Yesterday he got first place in his heat in the 50 meters! After he was don't he immediately hugged Hailey. He is such a good brother. At night before bed Hailey usually has a breakdown because she cannot find her bear, wants a glass of water ect. It is a common occurrence for Pres to tell H in his sweet little voice that he only uses for H and T that he will be right back and get those things for her.
At bedtimes I put T and H to bed and Ry puts P to bed. After I am done and Pres is tucked in I go and lay down with P. That is one of my favorite times of the day. He is such a sweet little boy. Sometimes its nice to have a quite moment with him since he is always on the go.

Hailey is my shadow. If I go somewhere, she goes as well. All she wants to do right now is play with her babies. And all she talks about is that when she gets older like her mom and dad she is going to have babies. Poor Tanner has more than one mom right now, and will probably have 2 the rest of his life!
The other day I was cutting some vinyl and I had scraps that looked like a crown. Hailey promptly had me put them on her head and went on the trampoline and danced and sang. Such a funny girl.
I love that she thinks that I can do no wrong. That I am amazing. Why cant they stay little forever and keep these images of me?

I don't remember thinking of Pres and Hailey as my babies as long as I have Tanner. I also don't remember rocking them at bedtime as long as I have T. I could rock him for hours if he would let me. He is so much different than P and H were. They were very social. But T only has eyes for Ry and I. He is such a sweet little guy. His newest word as of today is Bow Wow Wow. I said Bow chic a wow wow today to one of the kids and he walked around the house saying it. He also says here you go and thank you. I hope he stays my baby forever as well.
The other day he was so tired and fell fast asleep in his high chair. Last night he thought that he was pretty funny and put P's underwear on his head.

the things she says

Hailey: "After me get married up, I gonna have a baby!"

Tanner loves babies and stuffed animals. Yesterday he found Hailey's baby, put her on the ground and fed her. It is so interesting how at that young of an age he can have those instincts! He is going to be a good little daddy!
