What are you looking at?!

Yesterday I was coming home from the neighbors and saw this little guy slithering in our yard. I think that he was just a garden snake and was about a foot and a half long. Hopefully its single and doesn't have a little family!

Geek Squad

Preston brought in the swimming bag last night and everyone modeled our goggles. You would think that it being June we would be using the contents in our swimming bag. The weather here has had other plans. It has been windy windy windy and pouring cats and dogs. Yesterday I made soup it was so cold. Who makes soup in JUNE?!!!
On another note....the owner of a local boutique called and asked if I would make a dozen signs to sell in her shop. EXCITED! She has asked her present vinyl lady that she wants her signs out by the 20th so mine can come in. I have so many fun ideas running through my head. Be sure to check out my other blog in the next week or so to see.
I went to her store about a month ago and picked up these windows for a steal and a half:

You can't tell in the picture but the ones in the cubbies are hung with wire and then the wire is wrapped with a crystal garland. I made the shelf on the large window....and I mean large! That sucker has to weigh a good 100 pounds. I still need to work on the accessories, but its getting there! (I made the topiaries...a little rough but much cheaper than I could have bought ones!)
I also must confess why I haven't blogged alot lately. I have an addiction.....
I love to decorate my house. I LOVE to garage sale for those decorations. I also love to frequent goodwill and antique stores. I found a bit of a treasure of an antique store the other day here in Hermitown! I even called my sister in law when I found it. I am sure that she thought I was crazy....it was like Christmas for me! I love to look at decorating blogs. I have quite a few that I frequent. Ryan is so wonderful about it and lets me do my thing. I am trying to balance my life with my addiction. I am sure that I am not the best at it, but I am having fun!

Best Yard Sale Find Ever!

Every Friday morning, my friend Nichole and I go yard saling. At about our third stop I spotted a sign advertising a FREE PIANO!!!!! I immediately told the lady that I wanted to see it. I wasn't sure that ry would want it so I called him and got his voice mail. After thinking about it for a sec I couldn't pass up the offer! He was going to have to want it! Just as I told the lady that I wanted it another lady was going to do the same. Good thing I was quick! Here she is in all of her beauty!!
I have since painted the bench the green paint that you see in the pic.

Usually Preston is at school when we go. He thought that it was the greatest thing. I let them get a toy and they get to play with the toys that are for sale while we look. That night we went for a walk and he spotted a garage that was set up for a sale for Sat. He got so excited and said "MOM, look a yard sale!" I told him that it was too late for one. He said, "Lets go look!!!". I am sure that ry would be pretty happy that I have taught our son that yard sales and great things!!
I had to add these pictures of pres playing football that night after Hailey and Tanner were in bed. I would say HIKE! and he would run into the living room and back to make a touch down. It was pretty cute. He had Ryan's cleats on but kept on slipping so he took them off!

Trip to Utah

Our niece Kadence was being blessed so last Thursday we made the fun 12 hour trip to Utah. The trip wasn't that bad...but I guess it shouldn't have been for ry and I because my good in laws had Pres and Hailey drive with them the whole way. Lucky us! We had so much fun and it went by way too fast. I am going to put a picture over load on this post, so hold on!

As soon as we got there we stopped at a neat Dino museum and watched a boring 3-D movie. We even got to wear cool glasses!

On Saturday while the girls checked out the family photos that we had taken, the guys took the kids to the zoo. They met Ry's Aunt Christine and a few of her Grand children there. I love the last pic where Tanner Man is zonked! Today he had his first real nap since the trip and slept 3 hours. I had to wake him up and am sure that he would have slept more!

Sunday Aaron was able to bless little Kadence. It was one of the most beautiful blessings I have heard. She is a sweet little baby and also a little butter ball. She reminds me alot of Hailey when she was a baby.
We went to Kates moms house after the blessing and had a nice brunch.

That afternoon, Wes and Jes made a delicious steak and chicken kabob BBQ. We took it up to Bridal Veil falls. It was about 70 degrees and was perfect. The kids had a blast in the water and would have stayed there all day if they could. The trip went by so fast. It was good to be able to make new relationships with in laws and get to know them better. I wish they lived closer and someday I know they will.

P Graduates!

Preston graduated on Wednesday and is ready for Kindergarten!! I cannot believe that I have a child old enough. He says that he isn't going because I made the big mistake of telling him that before he goes he has to get a shot. What was I thinking?!!

The rest of his class graduated on Friday, but P had to miss it so that we could leave for Utah on Thurs. During the whole ceremony, he was picking on his band aid. So very typical of Preston....always distracted! One of the songs they sang was You Are My Sunshine. All day you can hear him singing it to his own little tune. I would tape it but the sound on my camera wont work...if anyone knows what the deal is, let me know!!!

Happy Mother's Day

And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. -Deuteronomy 6:7

What a great responsibility we as mothers have been given. To be entrusted with our Heavenly Fathers children. I am so grateful to be a mother.
